Potsdam Summer Festival 2015

The 48th annual Summer Festival in Potsdam, NY will take place from Thursday, July 9th through Sunday, July 11th, 2015. The summerfest in Potsdam is known for the ice-cream social on Thursday night, with music from the Norwood Fireman’s Brass Band. There will be music on Market St. and in Ives Park throughout the festival. The Potsdam Rotary Club will sponsor the duckie race (which has been modified to a duck pond promotion). There will be vendor booths in Ives Park on Saturday. Market Street will be blocked off during the festival.

One regret is that Northern Music and Video is no longer in business. Their presence and support for the Potsdam Summer Festival will be missed. Music groups such as the Potsdam Community Bank, Jack Kelley’s Little Big Band, the Norwood Fireman’s Brass Band, and other groups will be on hand. For over 100 years, the Potsdam Fire Department demonstrates their readiness with the Race to the River. The Potsdam Summer Festival also includes events from Clarkson University Alumni and SUNY Potsdam Alumni weekends.
